Premiere Solaris?

Some photos from the premiere of ‘Solaris?’ in Tromsø taken by Sverre Simonsen. It was nice to finally share what I have been working on since the idea came about in 2023 during an ArtLab at Davvi - Center for Performing Arts. My colleague Tale Næss suggested to watch Solaris by Andrej Tarkovskij, and I was instantly hooked. I quickly bought the 2021 Norwegian translation by Julia Wiedlocha, and fell in love with its never-ending exploration of meaning and truth.

After the premiere we got a lovely and detailed review from Hakapik. We are also happy to share that we will have performances next year with Dansens Hus, Oslo. Dates TBA.

The dancers coming down the beautiful Bakolsen. Many childhood memories from this place!

As an audience member, you are asked to wear headphones and some strange filtered glasses.

The glasses are made by visual artist HC Gilje.

Installation by Lawrence Malstaf.

Dancer Karianne Andreassen. The magenta color of the filter is one of the many filters that the audience see the performance through.

Costumes by Line Maher.
